Hi,
My name is Kurt Powers. I consider myself a little bit of a dreamer. I am a writer, a musician, a creative type, with a drive to learn more and experience more. I am a graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and University of North Carolina.
A little about myself and my personal and profesional background: I started out in a small town with a dream. My younger years were imaginative and dedicated towards music and guitar. I also had an interest in technical areas and liked to learn by doing; so, I started taking things apart and trying to put them back together again. As the internet came about and personal computers became available, I became interested in learning about computers, websites, and technology.
I also had an interest in writing, reading, and politics, so I went to college for journalism. I was an editor for my college newspaper, and I was recognized for my writing by the Keystone Collegiate Press in 2008. After I completed my undergraduate at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in communications and journalism, I was quickly hired on to write for a local newspaper. After a few years, I decided it was time to make a change. I worked in sales and technical support while traveling throughout the Carolinas.
I completed my first masters at University of North Caronlina (Wilmington). I went on to complete my second MA in communications with a certificate in conflict management at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Since then I have been working and learning about myself and the greater Pittsburgh, PA area.
Each day I take my time to be my best, keep up with information about my interests (both personal and professional interests), and strive to be my best. I am now taking opportunities to write more, read more, and share what I can with the world. Thank you for your time, take care, and make the best of your time for all.
